Biography
Dr. David E. Smith is a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1988. Dr. Smith completed his internship and residency at the University of California San Diego in 1991, followed by a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 1995. He further advanced his expertise with a Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Stanford University in 1996.
Dr. Smith is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and an active member of the Heart Rhythm Society.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Smith serves as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, where he is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
